A Proud Mom
I am so proud of my son’s success. He, like I, suffered with alcoholism and fought to overcome it. He now has six years sober and I have 11. By 25 years of age, my son was: Voted TikTok’s Sexiest Man by People Magazine for 2020; Honored by the Surgeon General at the Kennedy Center in 2023 for his work promoting mental health; Appeared on his first billboard in Times Square; Featured in the Rolling Stone Magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Forbes, Variety, Billboard, Vogue Philippines, The Los Angeles Times, Forbes Magazine (30 Under 30) and many other periodicals; Brought coffee to the Vice President of the United States, as well as to J. Lo, Jennifer Chastain, and various other luminaries (which he captured on fun TikToks); Invited to the Oscars, the Cannes Film Festival (where he hosted the red carpet show), the MTV VMAs, Fashion Week shows and many other events; Named AmFAR’s Pride Ambassador 2023 and won a Streamy Award in 2023 for best in the Short Form category (also served as a presenter and took the stage with Meghan Trainor when her video that he was in won an award); Appeared in Meghan Trainor’s music video and on one of her soundtracks; acted in a feature film movie, 1660 Vine, and television shows, including the Drew Barrymore Show, ABC News Live Prime and CNN; Started his own coffee brand; did numerous commercials and received lucrative company endorsements; Earned more than 11 million followers on his main TikTok account (total reach as of June 2023 on social media is 14.4 million followers); helped to normalize therapy and sobriety for thousands of people, and made even more laugh!
